Man shot and killed in Garsfontein
A man, believed to have been working for a courier company, was shot and killed while escorting a delivery vehicle.
A man, believed to have been working for a courier company, was shot and killed while escorting a delivery vehicle belonging to the company.
Police have launched a manhunt for two suspects, following the shooting near Delfi Avenue in Garsfontein on Monday morning.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said the victim was in his late 30s.

The shooting happened when the courier vehicles stopped at a traffic light.
“Two armed suspects fired multiple shots,” she said.
“The man managed to get out of the vehicle and ran into the veld next to the road where he collapsed and succumbed to his injuries.”
According to eyewitnesses, the two courier vehicles were traveling in the easterly direction on Garsfontein Road when a white Mazda CX5 driving behind the courier vehicle opened fire.
Peters said the motive for the shooting is unknown.
She appealed to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact police in Garsfontein, or call the crime stop number 08600 10111, or send a tip-off on the MySAPS app that can be downloaded onto any smartphone.
