Two gunned down, west man hands himself over to police

It is alleged that the suspect and the victims were arguing about a title deed when the suspect took out a firearm and shot the victims.

A 44-year-old man handed himself over to the police on Monday, after two people were fatally shot in Pretoria West.

The suspect has been charged with two counts of murder, said police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo.

“It is alleged that the suspect and the victims were arguing about a title deed when the suspect took out a firearm and shot the victims on Saturday,” he said.

Masondo said the motive behind the killings was unknown.

The suspect was expected to appear in the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
