Centurion skeletal remains still unidentified

The forensics team is still busy with the investigation that will shed light on the cause of death, identity and age of the deceased.

The identity and cause of death tests on the human remains found in Erasmia near Laudium on 13 February are yet to be determined.

Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said the forensics team is still busy with the investigation that will shed light on the cause of death, identity and age of the deceased.

“The team is till busy and no one has come forward with any information that could assist the team,” said Moloto.

He said locals discovered the skeletal remains recently and notified the police.

“The inquest is still open.”
