Atterbury Value Mart robbers still at large
Police are searching for four suspects who exchanged gunfire with security during robbery.
Police are still searching for four suspects who robbed a jewellery store at Atterbury Value Mart in the east of Pretoria on Tuesday.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele said the suspects were still at large and no arrests have been made.
This after robbers exchanged gunfire with security earlier this week outside the centre.
Makhubele said four men broke into a jewellery store at the centre and stole a bag of watches among other items.
“When the suspects were on their way out, there was a shootout between security and the suspects,” he said.
“[The] bag with watches was dropped, but they managed to get away with other items worth an undisclosed amount of cash.”
Makhubele said a security car was damaged, but no one was injured.
Police called on anyone who may have information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact them.
