Man, his dog shot by intruders in Centurion
The dog was rushed to the veterinarian by family members.
A man and his dog were both shot and wounded by intruders in Centurion on Sunday evening.
At around 21:00, an emergency team responded to a shooting on a smallholding in Timsrand on the outskirts of Centurion, said CERT-SA spokesperson Ruan Heyns.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition, while the dog was rushed to a veterinarian by family members.
Heyns said police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
He thanked ER24, Emer-G-Med, MonitorNet, and Scorpion Risk Services for the assistance on scene.
