Trumpet sounds to be broadcast in East on Easter Sunday
A trumpet that will be played three times in the east during Sunday is expected to be heard as far as Mamelodi.

A local resident and business owner has organised a special Easter Sunday experience, Jesus is King trumpet sounds to be broadcast on Sunday, 12 April from the Bronberg mountain top in the east of Pretoria three times in the spirit of Easter Sunday.
The trumpet sound will play at 8:00, 13:00 and 18:00 for five minutes at a time.
“Massive speaker towers (powered by Virtual Productions) will be erected to point in all directions to reach about 1 million people in the nearby suburbs,” Albertus Potgieter, owner of i-Tickets South Africa and the organiser of the event said.
He said the trumpet will be heard from the east of Pretoria to Mamelodi.
“I did a site visit this morning on the mountaintop in Pretoria where the speakers will be erected and broadcast the trumpets.”
Jesus is King will also host virtual event where Easter messages from religious leaders will broadcast on a live stream during Sunday.
“At 18:00 a special Holy communion will be led by Suzette Hattingh after the last horn for the day,” Potgieter said.
Potgieter said the inspiration for the Jesus is King trumpet sounds event is based on Isaiah 18:3.
“All you people of the world, you who live on the earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and when a trumpet sounds, you will hear it.”
