Two arrested for East robbery

“They were found with two bicycles and housebreaking equipment used during the robbery.”

Two men, aged 31 and 30, were arrested for a business robbery that took place at a lodge in the Boschkop area on Wednesday morning.

Boschkop police spokesperson Sergeant Yeroboam Mbatsane said the men were traced and arrested at the nearby Skirlek informal settlement.

“The men were arrested by the team led by the station branch commander Captain Jimmy Lelaka,” he said.

“They were found with two bicycles and housebreaking equipment used during the robbery.”

Boschkop police station commander Lieutenant colonel Raymond Monyayi applauded the team for moving fast and arresting the suspects.

The pair will appear in court soon.
