Covid-19: 31 deaths and 3 043 Coronavirus cases in Gauteng
Health department says recoveries stood at 1 955 on Tuesday.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng stood at 3 043, with 1 955 recoveries and 31 deaths, on Tuesday.
Department of Health spokesperson Kwara Kekana said out of a total of 12 135 contacts traced (individuals who were in contact with a person positive for Covid-19), 9 540 people have completed the 14 days monitoring period with no symptoms and were de-isolated.
She said 121 people were currently hospitalised in public and private facilities.
Breakdown per district of cases and recoveries:
– Johannesburg: 1 467 cases, 16 deaths and 1 125 recoveries
– Ekurhuleni: 642 cases, 8 deaths and 474 recoveries
– Tshwane: 412 cases, 4 deaths and 278 recoveries
– Sedibeng: 64 cases and 21 recoveries
– West Rand: 286 cases, 4 deaths and 57 recoveries
