Driver rescued from burning car in Centurion
The driver had lost control, crashed through a barrier and the car caught fire after nearly going down an embankment.
A man was rescued from a burning vehicle on Wierda Road near the N14 highway in Centurion on Sunday evening, after losing control of his vehicle and crashing through a barrier.
CERT SA spokesperson Ruan Heyns said emergency services responded to the call-out around 21:00.
The driver had lost control, crashed through a barrier and the car caught fire after nearly going down an embankment.

Heyns said the driver was struggling to get out of the vehicle, but two brave good Samaritans rushed to his aid and rescued him from the burning vehicle after smashing a side window, he said.
Heyns said it was believed the driver lost control of the vehicle when it crashed into the barrier and nearly fell into the ditch.
He said CERT paramedics assessed the patient and found he had minor injuries but he did not want to go to hospital.
Heyns thanked the Tshwane metro fire department, Monitor Net, and Netcare 911 for the assistance on the scene.
