Marabastad shooting leaves two taxi drivers dead
It is alleged that the four drivers were sitting inside a minibus taxi when unknown suspects fired shots at them.
Police have launched a manhunt for suspects after two men were fatally shot in Marabastad in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The shooting left two taxi drivers dead and two others wounded, said police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo.
The shooting took place at the Marabastad taxi rank at around 05:00.

“It is alleged that the four drivers were sitting inside a minibus taxi when unknown suspects fired shots at them,” Masondo said.
The motive for the shooting cannot be confirmed at this stage, he said.
Two cases of murder and two cases of attempted murder have been opened for investigation.
