The Bhushiri’s and their co-accused remain in custody after the bail application was postponed
”He believes that one day justice shall prevail, and whatever he is going through is just a test of time.”

The case against self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri, his wife Mary and Landiwe Ntlokwana was postponed for a possible bail hearing on Monday.
The magistrate said 30 October would be a more suitable date as they have other bail hearings on Monday which might take the whole day.
The leaders of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECG) and their co-accused are facing charges of fraud, money laundering, and contravention of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act worth R102 million.
The lawyer representing the trio, Terrance Baloyi, said it is disappointing that the bail hearing could not be concluded on Friday, however, his clients remain very strong.

Baloyi said Bushiri remains very strong and understands the wheels of justice.
”He believes that one day justice shall prevail, and whatever he is going through is just a test of time.”
Baloyi said if the case is not heard on Monday then the court will have to postpone to another day.
”If the case is not heard on Monday, it will be beyond our control but we will have to abide by the court.”
