Local man writes about love

It took him about five months to finish all 40 love poems in the book.

A young man from Mamelodi east wrote a book about love for both young and old couples.

Zephonia Ngoepe (33), also known as “the man of many talents”, from Mahube extension 1 in Mamelodi east said the book is filled with love poetry and called The love of my soul.

“The book is for everyone, young people, adults and even those who had given up on relationships,” said Ngoepe.

He said it took him about five months to finish all 40 love poems in the book.

“The messages are to help people out there, especially those who have lost hope regarding relationships by encouraging them not to lose hope,” said Ngoepe.

In the book there are poems like “When we first met”, “Love conquers” and “Love of my life”.

“I believe after reading this book people will be inspired to love again,” he said.

Ngoepe said most women meet people who they think they will enjoy a relationship with, not knowing that the guy merely lusts after her.

His passion to write a book started while he was in still high school.

“I always remained eager to not forget my writing skills and wanted to write almost every day,” he said.

When he was growing up, he used to help his older brother and sister with their assignments and won several certificates with his writing skills.

While he was working at a local radio station in Mamelodi, he used to recite his poems for the listeners.

Besides writing poems, he loves acting, that is why he is known to his colleagues as “the man of many talents”.
