Kutumela among big names to join Downs
The 28-year-old striker joins the Yellow Nation after scoring 12 goals in 26 league starts with Maritzburg United FC this past season.
Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the signing of Thabiso Kutumela from Maritzburg United.
The Limpopo-born forward and Bafana Bafana international, Kutumela has reached an agreement with Tshwane club and signed a five-year contract with the reigning DStv Premiership champions.
The 28-year-old striker joins the Yellow Nation after scoring 12 goals in 26 league starts with Maritzburg United FC this past season.
Kutumela’s high work rate, assists and goals culminated in him earning his Bafana Bafana call up for the Afcon qualifiers.
Downs have also secured the services of Grant Kekana from SuperSport United FC.
The versatile 28-year-old defender played 19 matches last season for Matsatsantsa and will be joining up with his former teammate Aubrey Modiba upon his arrival at Chloorkop.
Sundowns also completed the signing of Zimbabwean international left-back Divine Lunga from Golden Arrows.
The 26-year-old defender, who made 26 league appearances last season, joins the Brazilians on a long term contract.
