“Additional manpower was called for and neighbouring stations and other police units responded.”
Miller said two suspects were arrested and will face charges of tampering with essential infrastructure and possession of suspected stolen property.
They were due to appear in the Pretoria magistrate’s court within 48 hours.

“This is the second lot of cable theft suspects who have been arrested in our area in the past two weeks.”
Lyttelton station commander Brigadier Matlala praised the members who have been working night shifts since July 13, for all the hard work and continued dedication in spite of the long hours, Miller said.
