Pta multi-million rand jackpot winner claims winnings
The new millionaire hopes his sudden change of fortune would lead to the return of his wife who left him earlier this year as he did not have "enough" money.

The R8-million Powerball Plus jackpot winner who was last week called upon to claim his winnings by national lottery operator Ithuba has claimed his prize.
“I feel like I’m in a dream, I can’t believe this is happening to me,” the lucky winner told Ithuba.
“I have no words to express my happiness, it has been such an emotionally draining year.”
The winner, who purchased his ticket from the Brazil Café in Pretoria North, won the draw which took place on August 10 and had spent only R22.50 on the ticket using the quick pick selection method.
The new multi-millionaire also said he hoped that his sudden change of fortune would lead to the return of his wife.
“My wife left me at the beginning of the year because I did not have enough money.
“I want my wife back so I can rebuild my life with her and our kids and have our dream home,” he said.
He also told the national lottery operator that he had big plans for his new riches.
“The rest of my winnings will go towards buying a brand new house for my parents, paying off all my debt and investing the rest of my winnings.”
His other plans also included buying himself a brand new car and saving a portion of his winnings so that he could one day take his children to university.
Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza, meanwhile, extended congratulations to the lucky winner.

“Congratulations to our Powerball Plus winner. When we took over the operations of the national lottery, we promised to offer unprecedented life-changing jackpots and we have delivered just that.”
She said Ithuba had paid out the highest jackpots in the history of the SA National Lottery and created more winners and multi-millionaires that any other lottery operator.
