Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, the vehicle of a missing Pretoria man was found abandoned near Brits, North West, with what looked like blood in it.

The 36-year-old Louis De Villiers was reported missing Wednesday morning after leaving his house to visit his mother in Monument Park.

“He never made it to his mother’s house,” said Brooklyn police spokesperson Sergeant Webster Scheepers.

“A missing person’s case was reported before noon on that day by his partner at around 11:45.”

Scheepers said a car matching that of De Villiers’ was located at the Letlhabile mall near Brits later on the day of his disappearance. He said a fluid suspected to be blood was found inside the blue Isuzu bakkie.
