Murdered north man found with knife still in his chest
Second murder in the area within a months time, police say.
Ga-Rankuwa police are investigating after a man was found stabbed to death in the bushes between Tsumani extension 25 and the informal settlement in zone 20.
The man’s body was discovered by police last week Tuesday.
Ga-Rankuwa police spokesperson Shimi Tsheole said the man was found dead with a knife still in his chest.
Tsheole said police have found two dead bodies in the same area in less than a month.
“We suspect the murders are a result of muggings in the area. We are also saddened by this second murder despite our efforts of increasing visibility in that area.
“In the first murder, we found that the victim had a wound that suggested that a sharp instrument was used.”
He said after the first murder, police visited the area to ask whether community members had any information related to the murder.
