One person was entrapped following a serious accident on the R21 in Centurion on Saturday morning.
The accident happened on the R21 near the Nellmapuis Road off-ramp and involved a vehicle and a truck, said Ruan Heyns of Cert-SA emergency medical service.
“Two people sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate and one of them needed to be freed from the wreckage using the jaws-of-life,” he said.
Both patients were taken to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.
Heyns thanked Netcare911, Emer-G-Med, Tshwane emergency services, Monitor Net, police and other law enforcement agencies for their assistance.
