Braai Day celebration to change the lives of disadvantaged children
The celebration was not only about entertainment but it also served as the birth of a nationwide charity campaign to collect and distribute essentials to disadvantaged school children around the country.
Auto Investments together with Bosvelder pub and restaurant and media personality Mack Rapapali launched the Braai Day event in Centurion on Friday with the hope of making it one of the biggest in the country in the future.

The event held at the Bosvelder pub and restaurant under Covid-19 restricted guidelines was part of the countrywide Heritage Day celebration, which is celebrated on September 24 annually in South Africa to encourage South Africans to be proud of their culture and together rejoice the diversity of their beliefs and traditions under the context of building a united nation.
“Today’s event is about celebrating the national Heritage Day which is referred to as Braai Day,” said media personality Mack Rapapali, who was also one of the organisers.

It was revealed that the event served as the platform to introduce to the public to a planned nationwide campaign, named Step by Step, to raise and distribute products that are suitable to satisfy essential needs of disadvantaged school children.
According to Rapapali, the Step by Step campaign was aimed at making a difference in the society by making children happy.
The celebration was not only about entertainment but it also served as the birth of a nationwide charity campaign to collect and distribute essentials to disadvantaged school children around the country, said Rapapali.
“This project does not involve money in a form of donating cash but it is about donating items listed or identified as essential products.”

Auto Investments Group COO Emmarentia Claassen said the campaign was a way of giving back to their communities.
She said Auto Investments Group was running the project with other interested businesses to do the best that they could to reduce the gap of vast amounts of needs in the society.
“If each business gives a little and we put it together we will make a huge difference.” Claassen said.
