Pretoria Supercop died in an accident on Friday evening

The well-known cop Warrant Officer Stoffel Holtzhausen, often described as the Supercop of the North, died in an accident on Friday evening.

The Pretoria North community was still reeling on Saturday following the sudden death of the well-known cop Warrant Officer Stoffel Holtzhausen, often described as the Supercop of the North.
 
Following his untimely death, tributes and condolences poured in for the Holtzhausens on Facebook, with many thanking him for his dedication and bravery.
 
Holtzhausen served 27 years as a police officer with 21 years at Pretoria North police station.
 
“Wow, I have no words, shattered. RIP W/O Stoffel Holtzhausen, our own Supercop, served his community with love, you will be dearly missed. Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. RIP my friend,”  Wendy Pascoe posted on Facebook.
 
 
“Pretoria North will never be the same again. Shocked to see the news this morning. Salute to another officer gone, who gave 100% to his work. Condolences to his wife and children,” wrote Hanri Aria La-Cock.
 
“Just heard the news a few hours ago Rip W/0 Stoffel gone too soon,” Ashley Moodley posted.
 
 
Boitumelo Precious Khasu called Holtzhausen the best police officer.
 
“The best police officer ever!!! Knew him from primary school till high school. Last year we had a house break-in and we were still fortunate enough to be helped by him. Rest in peace,” she said.
 
Holtzhausen will be honoured on Saturday (tonight) at 18:00 at Noordlikes sports grounds.
 
Everyone is welcome to attend. The community is urged to bring a candle and something to drink as they honour the passing of the legend, known by many as “the supercop”.
 
While details about the fatal accident were not yet known, reports on social media indicated that Holtzhauzen was on his way to a scene on his bike when a pedestrian walked in front of him, causing him to swerve and hit a tree.
 
This could not yet be confirmed.
