‘Know where your kids are,’ police tell parents
"We will charge the parents with child neglect and liaise with social workers to assist and move the children in question to a place of safety in such cases."
Boschkop police are warning the members of the public to always know where their children are during the holiday season.
“Some children were recently brought to the police station after they were found roaming the streets,” said Boschkop police spokesperson Sergeant Yeroboam Mbatsane.
“We have had four cases in Skierlik and Lethabong in the east of Tshwane where children were reported missing. Luckily, we helped and they were reunited with their families.
“As the police, we will charge the parents with child neglect and liaise with social workers to assist and move the children in question to a place of safety in such cases,” he said.

With kidnapping and abduction a concern, police warned parents to keep their children off the streets.
“Let us enjoy our holidays and ensure our children are safe.”
Mbatsane said parents should ensure that their children know the full names of their parents, siblings and relatives and also have their contact details.
