Akasia police station phone lines restored
The station's lines will, however, be down from time to time as they replace their old phone system.
The Akasia police station said that although its telephone lines have been restored, it may still experience line outages from time to time.
“Our telephone system is too old and worn out to be repaired and needs to be replaced completely instead,” said Akasia police spokesperson Constable Lindiwe Mabasa.
This meant that the lines will be down occasionally.
During such downtimes, residents must contact the station on the following numbers:
Relief Commander: 071 675 6300
Visible Policing Commander: 082 498 4542
Detective Branch Commander: 082 319 9579
Standby Duty Officer: 079 695 1311
Station Commander: 082 498 7545
The station’s management apologised for any inconvenience caused by this.
For all emergencies, residents can call the station on 012 564 0700.
