Three murder suspects sought in Mamelodi

It is alleged that three armed suspects wearing balaclavas immediately approached the deceased and shot him.

Police are still searching for three suspects in connection with the death of Bheki Sithole (33) who was shot at the Monaco tavern in Mamelodi East on July 11 at around 13:00.

“Reportedly, three armed men wearing balaclavas entered the tavern and fired shots into the air,” said police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe.

Patrons dispersed and the suspects immediately approached the deceased and shot him.

He was shot in the head twice.

“No other persons were shot,” said Selepe.

The motive for the shooting was unknown at this stage, but the police are continuing with the investigations.

She asked for the public’s help in finding the attackers.

Sithole was laid to rest on Saturday.

His family is seeking justice and answers.

Mother, Stephina Sithole (57)

The victim’s mother, Stephina Sithole (57), said the last time she saw her son alive was on Sunday afternoon when he went to go to Cullinan to a client’s party.

The following Monday, he went to Monaco Chisanyama where he lost his life.

She described her son as a loving person who worked hard to take care of his family. Sithole made a living as a mechanic.

The family also asked for the public’s help in locating the suspects.

Selepe said those with information that is relevant to the case and can lead to the arrest of suspects to contact the SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
