Akasia eighth in provincial chess championships

Hoërskool Akasia took eighth place at the provincial chess championships that took place on August 27 at the Springs Civic Centre.

The u.19 chess team consisted of six players and one reserve.

After playing four rounds, they placed third but lost against Bracken High School in the fifth round.

The school is very proud of its players and believes that they played extremely well this year.
