Electrician hijacked in Soshanguve found safe and sound

The metro called on the community to help locate the vehicle.

Members of the Soshanguve Electricity Depot had a stressful Sunday morning when one of their electricians was hijacked in a City of Tshwane Vehicle in Winterveldt.

The car was last reported seen around Winterveldt next to Sister Mercy School.

The CoT team soon sent out a tweet with the vehicle’s registration number and called on the community of Soshanguve and Winterveldt to help track down the vehicle.

Thankfully they later tweeted that the electrician was located and is now safe.

“He has been found safe and sound but has reported feeling traumatised and disoriented,” said CoT spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.

“Only the bakkie’s canopy has been found. It’s reported that tracker is trying to locate the vehicle.”
