Load-shedding schedule update for the rest of the week

Eskom announced that Stage 2 load-shedding will continue until Thursday from 16:00 to midnight. This will be reduced to Stage 1 on Friday from 16:00 to midnight.

Eskom said that the decision was made due to persistent shortages of generation capacity.

Load-shedding schedules on Wednesday:

16:00 to 18:30 Group 15 and 3

18:00 to 20:30 Group 16 and 4

20:00 to 22:30 Group 1 and 5

22:00 to 00:30 Group 2 and 6

Thursday:

16:00 to 18:30 Group 12 and 16

18:00 to 20:30 Group 13 and 1

20:00 to 22:30 Group 14 and 2

22:00 to 00:30 Group 15 and 3

Friday:

16:00 to 18:30 Group 8

18:00 to 20:30 Group 9

20:00 to 22:30 Group 10

22:00 to 00:30 Group 11

Eskom said they will try to keep load-shedding to the night time to have a minimal impact on the economy and the population, and said they will publish a further update on Friday afternoon.

It currently has 14 760MW of capacity unavailable due to breakdowns and 5 021MW on planned maintenance.
