Mamelodi man mysteriously disappears at night
The family claimed they woke up in the morning, found the door wide open and Lucky was nowhere to be found.
The Matjomane family have asked for the public’s help to locate their 36-year-old son who mysteriously disappeared on December 1.
Lucky Mahlatsi Matjomane returned home in Lusaka from visiting his sister in Mamelodi East Mahube and went to bed.
However, the family claimed they woke up in the morning to find the house door wide open, and Lucky was gone.
Sister Julia Matentji said they reported him missing days later on December 5. She said this had been the first time he had not come home without informing another family member of his whereabouts.
Lucky left his sister’s home in the evening to return to his wife and three children.
Matentji said the following day when they woke up he had somehow disappeared into thin air and nobody has heard from him since.
“The door was wide open and there was no sign of a breaking in or forced entry,” said Matentji.
“We have searched almost everywhere for him, police stations, hospitals, mortuary, friends’ homes and even asked relatives.”
She said certain people had reported seeing him before they became aware he was missing.
The family pleaded with Lucky to please come back home to his family, children and friends.
“If we have done something wrong, come back home so we can talk about it,” Matentji pleaded.
Mamelodi East police had yet to comment at the time of going to press.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Lucky Mahlatsi Matjomane, they can contact his sister Julia on 076 818 9668.
