SANBS invites blood donations

Blood donors can donate blood at different clinics across Tshwane.

The SA blood service has released a list of venues where blood donors can go to donate to save lives this festive season.

The organisation needs to collect about 3 500 units of blood daily, to maintain safe stock levels.

“We approach this season with stocks lower than we’d like and we could have some tough times ahead,” said a spokesperson.

South Africans who want to donate blood this festive can go to the following clinics:

– Hatfield Plaza on 1122 Burnett Street

– Jean Village Centre, corner of Gerhard Street and Jean Ave, Centurion

– Quagga Centre, 12 Quagga Road, Pretoria West

– The Grove Mall, corner of Lynnwood and Simon Vermooten roads, Equestria

– Southdowns shopping centre, corner of John Vorster Drive and Karee Street, Highveld

– Bougainville shopping centre, Redelinghuys Street, Daspoort

– Wonderboom Junction, 16 Lavender Roadd, Annlin West, Pretoria

– Gezina Galleries, Frederika Street, Gezina

– Mall@Reds, corner of Rooihuiskraal Road and Hendrick Verwoerd Drive

– Waverley Plaza, 1120 Hertzog Street

– Atterbury Value Mart, 2001 Atterbury Road

– Ga Rankuwa, Shop 58b, Ga-Rankuwa shopping centre on Lucas Mangope highway
