Two suspects arrested in Sinoville during crime prevention patrol
They noticed that people were walking in the yard with a flashlight.
Two men in their 50s were arrested and charged with the possession of house-breaking implements in the Doornpoort, Sinoville area.
Two police officers came across a white Audi parked outside a house during an early morning crime prevention patrol.
They noticed that people were walking in the yard with a flashlight.
The officers stopped to investigate, and when they approached the persons in the yard, both men jumped into the vehicle and sped away. The police officers gave chase and the Audi crashed into a stop sign that brought it to a stop.
The suspects were removed from the vehicle and officers searched it and recovered various items, which included a signal jammer and house-breaking implements.
Further investigation revealed that the duo could be linked to a series of business robberies in the area of which police are currently gathering information.
