Mams police in search of missing person (47)

Sello Labea told a family member he was going to a nearby tavern to watch a soccer match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. He did not return home.

Police are investigating a missing person’s case following the disappearance of Sello Lebea (47) from Mamelodi West.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Daphney Maila said Lebea was last seen by a family member on May 6.

Lebea told the family member that he was going to a nearby tavern to watch a soccer match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. He did not return home.

She said the clothes he was last seen wearing were a brown bomber jacket, blue jeans and brown sneakers.

“His family went looking for him at the tavern, but he was nowhere to be found.

“They searched around the community including the hospital and a government mortuary,” said Maila.

Searching for Lebea, his family broke into his room but there were no signs that he slept there.

The family received a phone call from his workplace, looking for Lebea after failing to report for work on May 8.
