Castle Gate Shopping Centre hosts another successful monthly night market
Children and adults attend the Castle Gate Night Market in huge numbers.
The Castle Gate Shopping Centre successfully hosted its monthly Night Market on Friday at its premises, east of Pretoria.

According to the Castle Gate Night Market organiser, Isabel Swanepoel, their observations show that the market has grown on a monthly basis since its inception on April 23, 2021.
“The market is definitely growing as a lot of people who have never been to our mall also attend the event,” Swanepoel said.
She said the Castle Gate Night Market had achieved a huge milestone since its formal launch. At the time of its official opening, it only had a thousand visitors, mostly owing to Covid-19 regulations.
However, she added, “the attendance has since been dramatically boosted as close to two thousand individuals attended Friday’s market – which is almost a 100 percent increase.”

This increase in attendance at the market also became evident when the parking area at the centre was filled to its capacity. Rekord saw that vehicles had to wait for other vehicles to leave parking lots before they could find a spot to park.
“An increase in revenue that the businesses make at the market proves to us as organisers that the event is a success in every way.”
The market is suitable for children and adults, as proven by the presence of individuals, friends, and families. They had an opportunity to shop from a variety of stalls that were selling, amongst other things, products including arts and crafts, clothing, and shoes. Some vendors offered a variety of delectable foods and beverages. The children had a special play area just for them.
Centurion resident Zelda Ruthven said she enjoyed going to the event. “It offers a variety of products for purchase. Even food and drink are available here,” Ruthven said. She added that she liked to eat and listen to live music. “The music that we are hearing here is of a high quality.”
