Teen girl missing since June 20

The grandmother says she believes Zandisile is somewhere around Mamelodi because people have reported seeing her in the first few weeks after her disappearance.

A Mamelodi family is pleading for the public’s help in finding its daughter who has been missing since June 20.

Zandisile Mkwanazi (13) of ext. 4 in Mamelodi East was last seen leaving home.

She had arrived from school and changed into casual clothes.

Her family thought she was just going out to see her friends like she normally did after school however, she never came back.

She was wearing a dark grey hoodie and cream-white jeans.

Zandisile is a Vukani Mawethu secondary school Grade 9 learner.

Her grandmother Thembi said she searched everywhere for her including at her friend’s place, the school, hospitals and generally around Mamelodi.

She said this is the first time her granddaughter has gone missing.

Zandisile was reported missing at the Mamelodi East police station.

Thembi pleaded with her granddaughter to please come back home and that life was not the same without her.

She said she believes Zandisile is around Mamelodi because people reported seeing her in the first few weeks of her disappearance.

She added her granddaughter was missing out on her schoolwork and was supposed to be writing her third-term examinations.

Police had yet to comment at the time of publication.

If you think you might have seen Zandisile or know her whereabouts, please contact Mkwanazi on 060 695 3839.
