Motorists advised to avoid CBD streets impacted by protest

The workers will march to Tshwane House over late salary payments and insourcing of security working for the metro.

Motorists and residents around the CBD are advised to take note of the streets that will be impacted by the South African Cleaners Security Alliance Workers protest today.

The workers will march to Tshwane House over late salary payments and insourcing of security working for the metro.

A notice by the metro police said the marchers would gather at Princess Park from 10:00 and then march to Tshwane House.

From the gathering point, they will join WF Nkomo Street, turn right onto Bosman Street, and then turn into Madiba Street to Tshwane House.

The following streets will be affected:

– Sophie de Bruyn Street

– Bosman Street

– Paul Kruger Street

– Thabo Sehume Street

– Lillian Ngoyi Street

The protesters are expected to disperse from Tshwane House at 13:00.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as:

– Es’kia Mphahlele Drive

– Nana Sita Street

– Francis Baard Street

– Bloed Street

– Sisulu Street

– Du Toit Street

– Nelson Mandela Drive
