Planned water interruption in Erasmuskloof Ext 3
The possible water supply interruption is expected to be up to eight hours from 08:00 to 16:00 on Tuesday.
The city has warned residents of Erasmuskloof Ext 3 of water supply interruption on Tuesday, February 20 in the area.
Metro spokesperson Selby Bokaba said the outage was planned maintenance to connect a bulk supply pipe on the corner of Rubenstein Drive and Peddie Street.

Bokaba said the scheduled work might interrupt supply for eight hours.
“Although an interruption to the water supply will be avoided at all costs, it may occur from 08:00 until 16:00,” he said.
Areas that will be affected include:
– Erasmuskloof Ext 3
– Constantia Park Ext 3
He said the city apologised for the inconvenience that may be caused.
During this period, the city wishes to remind residents to adhere to the following water conservation measures:
– Do not water or irrigate the garden with a hosepipe or sprinkler.
– Do not wash a vehicle with a hosepipe.
– Do not fill a swimming pool.
– Install a low-flow shower head and tap aerators where possible.
– Use a dual-flush toilet cistern.
– Plant indigenous or drought-resistant shrubs in the garden.
– Use a broom instead of a hosepipe to clean the driveway or patio.
– Collect rainwater to reuse in the garden or wash the car.
– Cover the swimming pool to reduce water evaporation.
– Take a short shower instead of a bath.
– Close a running tap while brushing teeth or shaving.
– Regularly check toilets and taps for leaks.
