Community Fun Run, Wingate Park, April 13

The Welriet community is hosting a fun run and family market on Saturday as part of a campaign to “Take back our Veld”.

The market offers food stalls and music, with prizes for the best dressed.

The whole family is invited, including dogs on leash, from 07:00 to 14:00.

Luna Paige album launch, Menlyn, April 14

Singer-songwriter Luna Paige is about to release two full-length albums, one in Afrikaans and the other in English, and is heading to Moonshot Café with Mauritz Lotz on guitar.

Dis die dors is her second Afrikaans solo album, and Harmony is her fifth English solo album.

Doors open at 13:00 for the show at 14:30.

Jazz In April, Villieria, April 12

Groove along to well-known jazz music as Pierneef Theatre brings you the work of George Gershwin, Clifford Brown, The Beatles and Marcel Dednam.

Marcel Dedman will be on piano, Werner Spies on bass and Nelmarie Rabie on vocals while Deryn Dednam will be rocking the sax.

The session starts at 19:00.
