Pretoria motorists warned of another R21 closure
The section of the highway will be closed once again on April 27 for repair work by power utility Eskom.
Pretoria motorists are urged to note that the R21 will be closed to traffic between Nelmapius Drive and Olifantsfontein Road on Saturday and Sunday.
According to the Tshwane metro police, the road will be closed from Saturday, April 27, at 06:00 until 18:00 then again from 06:00 to 12:00 on Sunday, April 28.
The road closure is related to the installation of new conductors and power lines across the R21 highway by power utility Eskom.
Eskom had previously announced that the road will be closed for electrical repairs.
The first R21 closure due to Eskom was on April 21.
Motorists are urged to use alternative routes, plan and adjust their trip on time, drive continuously and adhere to signposted speed limits.
