The Gauteng police are offering an R100 000 reward to anyone who can assist with information that can lead to the arrest of an individual responsible for the murder of four people, including two girls aged 4 and 7 from Soshanguve, north of Pretoria.

Tinyiko (7) and Mpfumo (4) Mashaba were burned inside a shack on June 2.

Tinyiko was a Grade 2 learner at Lesedi Primary School in Soshanguve.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, the suspect is also facing charges of attempted murder and arson.

“It is believed that Dennis Nyatsunga/Ngobeni also known as “Shumba” is originally from Mozambique.

“He might still be in South Africa and is said to be using a fraudulent passport and asylum seeker papers,” said Masondo.

Masondo said the wanted suspect is short and dark in complexion.

He reported that armed suspects arrived at a shebeen in Changing Spot informal settlement and fired shots at patrons earlier this month.

The suspects then proceeded to a shack in the same area, where they set alight the shack, which was sheltering the two girls.

The girls were both certified dead on the scene.

“The public is advised not to attempt to apprehend the suspect, because he is considered armed and very dangerous.”
