Help find Mams man missing for over a month
Josias Lekgowa Mabusela (59) was last seen on the morning of October 8, when he went out for a walk.
The family of 59-year-old Josias Lekgowa Mabusela is still searching for him after he went missing on October 8.
According to his family, Mabusela from Mamelodi East, Section 16, was last seen that morning when he went for his routine walk.
He was last seen wearing brown trousers, a blue T-shirt, a red cap from Colgate, and a blue work suit jacket.
His sister, Stephina Kubeka, said this was the first time her brother had gone missing for such a long time.
She described her brother as a person who always informs them of his whereabouts and said on the day that he went missing, he just went out for a walk and never came back.
The family has searched almost everywhere for him and followed leads.
They searched the community and the places he frequents but he was nowhere to be found.
A missing person’s case has been opened at Mamelodi East police station.
Police spokesperson, Constable Penelope Khulong, said the police have already started with investigations.
She said the information police received from his sister who reported him missing was that she was with her brother at home on the day of his disappearance.
“The victim then indicated that he was going out but he would be back soon,” said Khulong.
He did not mention where he was going.
The sister later got worried as her brother did not come back home and contacted other family members who informed her that they had not seen him.
Khulong added that Mabusela has a mental condition.
The family has pleaded for him to please return home safely, saying that they miss him a lot.
Police said there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
