According to Tshwane’s X page, Tshwane’s electricity department has dispatched a team to investigate the cause of the outage.

The page states that preliminary findings indicate that only a portion of Line 1 is affected, specifically the Region 6 Highlands Sub, which supplies electricity to wards 44, 45, 46, and 83.

“The affected areas include Newlands, Constantia Park, Garsfontein and Waterkloof Glen.”

“The restoration time is unknown, and the team remains on site to resolve the issue.”
