On Valentine’s Day, Brinant Group swiftly responded to an armed robbery at a guesthouse in La Montagne, apprehending the suspect and ensuring community safety.

According to the security group control room received an alert regarding the incident via the LMMCPA SAPS & Security WhatsApp group.

“Our armed response officers were immediately dispatched to the scene, arriving within six minutes. Upon arrival, our officers located a man matching the description provided.

“A search revealed a toy gun in his possession, which was identified as the weapon used in the robbery of a woman.”

It furthermore said during the process of recovering the toy gun, the man physically assaulted one of their officers, causing the toy gun to fall into nearby bushes.

“Despite this, our officers successfully detained the suspect and handed him to the Silverton SAPS (SV106). Following the handover, Brinant Group withdrew from the premises.”

It added that this successful apprehension highlights the effectiveness of collaboration between security providers, community groups, and SAPS. Brinant Group remains dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our community.
