Dino World brings families together in Centurion
Families flocked to the event for a roaring good time over the weekend.
The Dino World exhibition, hosted by producer David Huni, brought families together for a fun-filled day of dinosaurs, games, and excitement over the weekend.
The event, which featured over 30 food, drinks and clothes vendors, was a success and attracted hundreds of visitors to Centurion.
Huni, an artist and former toy dinosaur designer, said the event aimed to educate people about the tragic story behind the extinction of dinosaurs.
“I worked with Witwatersrand university to recreate dinosaurs that are accurate from a scientific perspective,” he explained.
The exhibition featured life-like dinosaur displays, electronic games, and even a gigantic roaring dinosaur that kids could ride on.
Huni said he was thrilled with how residents responded and plans to host more events in the future.
“This is our first time in Centurion, and we’re happy to bring families together.”
Tendani Zwashu, a parent who attended the event with his kids, said they had a blast.
“My kids got to learn more about dinosaurs, and their favourite thing was riding on the electronic dinosaur.”
Another parent, Ancesha Lesch, said her daughter loved everything about the show.
“I am definitely going to bring her back for another show.
Her favourite part was seeing the dinosaurs move.”
