Tshwane metro police officers seized stash quantities of heroin during a targeted operation that saw three alleged drug dealers detained in Mabopane.
Members of the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Drug Unit initiated a high-speed pursuit after noticing suspicious activity involving a vehicle whose driver refused to pull over along Molefe Makinta Road on Monday, September 28.
Search leads to suspected supplier

According to TMPD spokesperson Colonel Isaac Mahamba, officers searched both occupants once the vehicle was brought to a stop, claiming to have found them in possession of heroin.
“Further investigation led the members to a residential property in Mabopane, where a third suspect was found with additional quantities of heroin,” said Mahamba.
Police believe the third suspect is a supplier.
Community urged to report drug crime
Police detained all three suspects at a local police station, and they are expected to appear in court soon.

TMPD Police Commissioner YCR Faro commended the officers involved, noting that the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related offences in Tshwane.
The TMPD has urged residents to report suspected drug activities in their communities.
