Crawford international offers students a personalised learning journey
Join Crawford international for their open day on the 24th of February

At Crawford International, the school group, academic excellence is the cornerstone of their existence. They encourage their students to become empowered, curious young people, who choose to make a difference in the world around them; and against all odds the Class of 2022 has triumphantly risen to the occasion.

The Grade 12 students wrote their final National Senior Certificate (NSC) through the Independent Examination Board (IEB) and celebrated their individual achievements with the release of the matric results on 18 January 2023.

Over the past two years, these students experienced many challenges of a post-Covid world, but students, parents, and staff continued to persevere. All students within the group have truly excelled in their final examinations, so much so that in total they achieved 1 430 distinctions across the Crawford International Schools brand, resulting in 2.6 distinctions per candidate.

Additionally, Crawford International had five sets of twins who collectively took home 67 distinctions, as well as three students that achieved 100% for mathematics. Furthermore, adding to these outstanding accolades, Crawford International boast 16 students that achieved 90% and above and 134 students that achieved 80% and above out of a class of 553 students. Additionally, eight students achieved nine distinctions, 20 students achieved eight distinctions and 29 students achieved full houses (seven distinctions).

The Crawford International colleges in Gauteng obtained six IEB Outstanding Achievement awards. This award has been awarded to students who were ranked within the top five percent of all IEB students nationally in six or more subjects and scored 80% or more for Life Orientation. In addition, they achieved five IEB Commendable Achievement awards. This award has been awarded to students who ranked in the top 5% of students nationally in five or more subjects and scored 80% or more in Life Orientation, while 30 students placed in the IEB top 1% for various subjects nationally.

“Crawford International is an international schools’ group that provides their students with an academically progressive, future-focused educational offering that is both locally and globally relevant. We do this by giving students voice and choice and providing a personalised learning journey, ultimately giving them a globally competitive edge to become changemakers. The expertise, commitment and pedagogical approaches encapsulate the uniqueness of our academic philosophy” said Traci Salter-Willis, Head of Academics for Crawford International, Head of IB: ADvTECH South Africa, and Director: Tournament of Minds: South Africa.

Congratulations to the Class of 2022 and all the best with your future endeavours.
