Elderly Waterkloof Ridge couple in hospital after armed home invasion

The couple’s home was broken into by an unknown number of armed suspects who assaulted them before fleeing the scene.

An elderly couple has been admitted to hospital after a robbery in its Waterkloof Ridge home on Wednesday morning, November 9.

Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene around 08:40.

Reports from the scene were that the unknown number of armed suspects assaulted the homeowners before fleeing the scene.

Bull Security operations manager French Jooste said that the suspects had already fled by the time his reaction officers arrived.

Jooste said that at this stage there was no confirmation of what was stolen in the robbery.

The husband and wife were treated and stabilised on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.

Police are investigating.
