New licencing centre open for business in west
“The facility is strategically located and thus ensures easy access to public transport,” said Williams.
Pretoria residents in the west now have their own brand new licencing facility in Eskia Mphaphele Drive, which opened early in December.
The C de Wet licensing centre, on 175 Es’kia Mphahlele Drive, was officially launched on December 11 during an unveiling ceremony attended by MMC for Roads and Transport Dikeledi Selowa and mayor Randall Williams.
“The facility is strategically located and thus ensures easy access to public transport,” said Williams.
It will cater to bulk motor vehicle registration clientele from the automotive sector, banks and insurance companies.
The new centre has replaced the previous licensing centre in the Saambou Building on Thabo Sehume Street in the inner city.
Williams said that the centre boasted various new features designed to offer motorists a more customer-friendly experience.
These included a refurbished waiting area, safe parking bays as well as a reception counter and several client counters.
Residents no longer need to visit the inner city since the new centre is already operational.
