Saint Ann primary school welcomes back learners for 2023
“Always respect your teachers and work with them to achieve that academic excellence that will take our country forward,” president of Kool 2B told learners at Saint Ann primary school.
Scores of young learners and parents flocked back to school on January 11 as the 2023 inland academic year commenced.
In Atteridgeville, Pretoria West, Saint Ann Primary School welcomed new and old learners for the start of the new year.
In a special gathered assembly, the learners were introduced to the current and newly recruited staff members that will be working with them throughout the year.

“We want our parents to know that we value education and your children very much. We opened two days before getting everything prepared for your arrival. I hope that you’ve had a good rest and are ready for this year,” said principal Martha Gladwin.
President of the local NGO, Kool 2B South African’s Khaya “Kool” Seoketsa also attended and delivered a passionate presentation to the young ones on their role in society and their responsibilities.
“St Ann’s is a school of academic excellence. As the young ones, you are the future of this nation and we need you to be the best that you can be. Always respect your teachers and work with them to achieve that academic excellence that will take our country forward,” said Seoketsa.
Kool 2B South African has worked with St Ann primary on numerous initiatives in recent history including a flag parade for Heritage Day, a tree planting drive as well as a special ceremony rewarding the high-performing students toward the end of last year.

“Today also marks the introduction of the Pride of Kool 2B South Africans programme. This is a programme for learners and youth to express their love for their country and to make a promise to behave morally with respect through excellence in taking South Africa forward. This programme will be rolled out nationwide,” said Seoketsa.
