Sangoma predicts a rough year ahead

South Africans must also expect large increases in petrol, diesel and food. It will be the worst recession yet to hit the country.

Think that load-shedding will get better this year? Well, not according to a Mamelodi traditional healer who has predicted yet another rough year ahead for the whole nation as well as residents.

According to Solly “Baba Mahlasela” Mathebula, the traditional healer from Mamelodi east extension 4, the bones told him that “we are going to experience a lot of stage 6 and even stage 8 load-shedding”.

In fact, he said, South Africans will spend most of their time in the dark “as we are heading for the worst load-shedding this year”.

“This will leave South Africans very unhappy,” he said.

This was just one of the predictions he made for 2023.

“The new Covid-19 virus will once again affect South Africa’s economy,” said Mathebula.

It will hit the country badly when it comes to exporting and importing goods.

“People in Mamelodi have already been diagnosed with the new Covid variant, which is caused by travelling in and out of the country,” he said.

South Africans must also expect large increases in petrol, diesel and food prices. It will be the worst recession yet to hit the country.

He further predicted Mamelodi “will be on fire” because of service delivery protests for electricity and RDP houses.

The bones also told him there will be a big fight involving residents who invaded family flat units next to Solomon Mahlangu Drive.

Mathebula said that crime will increase in Mamelodi with many car hijackings and drugs destroying the future of Mamelodi youths.

“The worst is still to come,” he said.

“There will be a lot of shootings and brutal killings in Mamelodi as groups of people will be fighting each other for power.”

The famous traditional healer has made headlines for training young white sangoma Kyle Todd and predicting in 2021 that Covid-19 will take many lives in South Africa.

Asked about the upcoming matric results, he said the class of 2022 will produce good results

“2023 matrics will also perform very well despite upcoming strikes by teachers.”

Among his predictions are that teachers, nurses and mineworkers will go on strike for more money.

Learners’ schoolyear will be slightly disrupted, “but we must rest assured as learners will produce good results”.

Turning to sport, Baba Mahlasela said Mamelodi Sundowns once again will win the league and reach the knockout stage of the African cup competition.

Another prediction from his bones was that Nkosazana Zuma will be fired from the ANC and the former president of Botswana will be arrested.

He assured taxi commuters that there will be no taxi industry violence this year.

Baba Mahlasela has been a practicing sangoma for more than 20 years.
