Central resident 1st runner-up in Miss Regal pageant
The grand finale took place on February 4 at the Sky Sandton auditorium.

Patience Mpho Ramavhale from central Pretoria was awarded the first runner-up position in the recent Miss Regal International SA 2022 competition.
“The experience was overwhelming but exciting considering it was my first time on stage with such a crowd,” Ramavhale told Rekord.
She has never competed in any pageants before.
The grand finale took place on February 4 at the Sky Sandton auditorium and Ramavhale said that it was an event like no other she has experienced before.
“I’m more than happy with my run, considering it was my first time. I did my best and gave my all. Now, it’s time to go back and reflect on how to prepare for the next one,” Ramavhale continued.
The 27-year-old mental health activist, professional sports coach and motivational speaker said the pageant taught her about the value of hard work among other lessons.

“It’s not about how perfect you are, but how hard you are willing to work and how much you are willing to sacrifice to achieve what you want.”
She thanked all who supported her throughout her journey, especially her “spiritual” parents and local ward councillor Shaun Wilkinson.
“These competitions help strengthen one’s confidence and character. This is the perfect place to become stronger and more confident. It helps you grow and discover your hidden abilities,” Ramavhale said.
Patience intends to continue doing pageants.
She is looking for one that “aligns with her beliefs” as she wants to pursue a career in modelling and doing charity work.
