Police urged Pretoria West residents to come forward with information regarding the shocking shooting of an ADT security officer.
The shooting happened on April 13 at Proclamation Hill around midnight on the corner of Mica and Kiepersol streets in Pretoria West.
Luckmore Moyo was on duty when he was gunned down.
“He had stopped on the side of the road to complete a docket following an armed robbery at a nearby church. Then a suspicious car pulled up and he was accosted by two armed suspects who shot and killed him at point-blank range,” said Fidelity ADT CEO Wahl Bartmann.
“We cannot disclose details of the attack which could compromise the investigation.”
Bartmann said there were three suspects, including the driver of the getaway vehicle, that police are looking for.
“Some CCTV footage is available, which will be used in the investigation.”
He said that the company was reeling from the incident as condolences pour in.
The slain officer has been with Fidelity ADT since May 2020 as a reaction officer.

“We plan to help Luckmore’s surviving family through our comprehensive funeral plan as well as through various other means of support and contributions.”
Bartmann said that they are “deeply saddened by the senseless killing of one of our fine officers”.
“On behalf of Fidelity and everyone in the Pretoria office, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of our deceased officer who was extremely well-liked and well-respected.
“We will be cooperating fully with the police and carefully check all footage and leads which will [hopefully] lead to the successful arrest of these murder suspects.”
ADT Pretoria Central branch manager Bennie Coetzee said they “will not rest until the suspects have been identified and brought to justice”.
Anyone with any information that could lead to the arrests of the suspects is urged to contact ADT’s tip-off number at 083 939 0300 or contact their local police station.
