Hammanskraal police to operate from Temba police station for six months

The Hammanskraal police station will undergo serious renovations entailing the fixing of the roof and normal maintenance on the buildings.

The Hammanskraal police will temporarily operate from the neighbouring Temba police station.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk said the Hammanskraal police station will operate from the Temba police station for six months while the former is undergoing renovation.

“This decision was made to ensure that all essential policing services continue without interruption while renovations are underway at the Hammanskraal station.

Van Dyk said the the serious renovation will entail the fixing of the roof and other normal periodic maintenance.

The public is reassured that it will continue to receive the same quality of service at the Temba station.

The members of support services, visible policing and detectives have been relocated to Temba station to continue providing essential services without interruption.

“The dedicated officers from each department will work together to ensure the community receives the same level of service that it has come to expect from the Hammanskraal station,” Van Dyk said.

He said the police force is committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for the community and officers alike.

He reassured the community that the police remain committed to serving, despite the current changes.

The client service centre at the Hammanskraal police station will continue to operate as usual, providing the same high standard of assistance to residents of the area.

“We understand that these changes may cause some disruption, but we are committed to minimising any negative impact on the community,” he said.
